Freedom Baptist Church Covenant(revised from the traditional Baptist "Church Covenant"

We know that we have been drawn by the Holy Spirit to receive Christ as our Savior.
Previously professing faith in Christ and being Disciples Baptized in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit.
We do now, in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly, willfully, and joyfully join in covenant with one another forming as one body in Christ.
Relying on the transforming power of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this congregation in knowledge, holiness and comfort.
To promote the blessing and spirituality; to proliferate its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines; To contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, charity within the church, the relief of the down-trodden, and the spread of the gospel to all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances.
To walk in the World, fearing God: to act righteous in our dealings faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our behavior.
To abstain from idolatry, fornication, intoxication, witchcraft, excessive violence and thievery. To be zealous in advancing the kingdom of our Lord.
We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; To remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech;
To be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the doctrine of our Savior Jesus to secure it without delay.
We moreover engage that when we leave this congregation we will; as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the whole counsel of God.
We covenant these things not with the lofty ideas of perfectionism or legalism. But do so as devoting our lives to Christ as living sacrifices; and a sacred attempt to live lives which will hopefully honor our Lord.
In the Name of the living God Jehovah: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through the name of the only begotten Son Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
