Waldenses Confession of 1544
1. We believe that there is but one God, who is a Spirit - the Creator of all things - the Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in us all; who is to be worshipped in spirit and in truth - upon whom we are continually dependent, and to whom we ascribe praise for our life, food, raiment, health, sickness, prosperity, and adversity. We love him as the source of all goodness; and reverence him as that sublime being, who searches the reins and trieth the hearts of the children of men.
2. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son and image of the Father - that in Him all the fullness of the Godhead dwells, and that by Him alone we know the Father. He is our Mediator and advocate; nor is there any other name given under heaven by which we can be saved. In His name alone we call upon the Father, using no other prayers than those contained in the Holy Scriptures, or such as are in substance agreeable thereunto.
3. We believe in the Holy Spirit as the Comforter, proceeding from the Father, and from the Son; by whose inspiration we are taught to pray; being by Him renewed in the spirit of our minds; who creates us anew unto good works, and from whom we receive the knowledge of the truth.
4. We believe that there is one holy church, comprising the whole assembly of the elect and faithful, that have existed from the beginning of the world, or that shall be to the end thereof. Of this church the Lord Jesus Christ is the head - it is governed by His word and guided by the Holy Spirit. In the church it behooves all Christians to have fellowship. For her He [Christ] prays incessantly, and His prayer for it is most acceptable to God, without which indeed their could be no salvation.
5. We hold that the ministers of the church ought to be unblameable both in life and doctrine; and if found otherwise, that they ought to be deposed from their office, and others substituted in their stead; and that no person ought to presume to take that honour unto himself but he who is called of God as was Aaron - that the duties of such are to feed the flock of God, not for filthy lucre's sake, or as having dominion over God's heritage, but as being examples to the flock, in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, and in chastity.
6. We acknowledge, that kings, princes, and governors, are the appointed and established ministers of God, whom we are bound to obey [in all lawful and civil concerns]. For they bear the sword for the defence of the innocent, and the punishment of evil doers; for which reason we are bound to honour and pay them tribute. From this power and authority, no man can exempt himself as is manifest from the example of the Lord Jesus Christ, who voluntarily paid tribute, not taking upon himself any jurisdiction of temporal power.
7. We believe that in the ordinance of baptism the water is the visible and external sign, which represents to as that which, by virtue of God's invisible operation, is within us - namely, the renovation of our minds, and the mortification of our members through [the faith of] Jesus Christ. And by this ordinance we are received into the holy congregation of God's people, previously professing and declaring our faith and change of life.
8. We hold that the Lord's supper is a commemoration of, and thanksgiving for, the benefits which we have received by His sufferings and death - and that it is to be received in faith and love - examining ourselves, that so we may eat of that bread and drink of that cup, as it is written in the Holy Scriptures.
9. We maintain that marriage was instituted of God. That it is holy and honourable, and ought to be forbidded to none, provided there be no obstacle from the divine word.
10. We contend, that all those in whom the fear of God dwells, will thereby be led to please him, and to abound in the good works [of the gospel] which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them - which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, sobriety, and the other good works enforced in the Holy Scriptures.
11. On the other hand, we confess that we consider it to be our duty to beware of false teachers, whose object is to divert the minds of men from the true worship of God, and to lead them to place their confidence in the creature, as well as to depart from the good works of the gospel, and to regard the inventions of men.
12. We take the Old and the New Testament for the rule of our life, and we agree with the general confession of faith contained in [what is usually termed] the apostles' creed.

A brief confession of faith of the Reformed Churches of Piedmont
Published with their Manifesto on the occasion of the frightful massacres of the year 1655.
Having understood that our adversaries, not contented to have most cruelly persecuted us, and robbed us of all our goods and estates, have yet an intention to render us odious to the world by spreading abroad many false reports, and so not only to defame our persons, but likewise to asperse with most shameful calumnies that holy and wholesome doctrine which we profess, we feel obliged, for the better information of those whose minds may perhaps be preoccupied by sinister opinions, to make a short declaration of our faith, such as we have heretofore professed as conformable to the Word of God; and so every one may see the falsity of those their calumnies, and also how unjustly we are hated and persecuted for a doctrine so innocent.
I. That there is one only God, who is a spiritual essence, eternal, infinite, all-wise, all merciful, and all-just, in one word, all-perfect; and that there are three persons in that one only and simple essence: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

II. That this God manifested himself to men by his works of Creation and Providence, as also by his Word revealed unto us, first by oracles in divers manners, and afterwards by those written books which are called the Holy Scripture.

III. That we ought to receive this Holy Scripture (as we do) for divine and canonical, that is to say, for the constant rule of our faith and life: as also that the same is fully contained in the Old and New Testament; and that by the Old Testament we must understand only such books as God did entrust the Jewish Church with, and which that Church has always approved and acknowledged to be from God: namely, the five books of Moses, Joshua, the Judges, Ruth, I and II Samuel, I and II of the Kings, I and II of the Chronicles, one of Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, the Psalms, the Proverbs of Solomon, Ecclesiastes, the Song of Songs, the four great and twelve minor Prophets: and the New Testament containing the four gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles of St. Paul - 1 to the Romans, 2 to the Corinthians, 1 to the Galatians, 1 to the Ephesians, 1 to the Philippians, 1 to the Colossians {2 to the Thessalonians, 2 to Timothy, 1 to Titus, 1 to Philemon},
and the Epistle to the Hebrews; 1 of St. James, 2 of St. Peter, 3 of St. John, 1 of St. Jude, and the Revelation.

IV. We acknowledge the divinity of these sacred books, not only from the testimony of the Church, but more especially because of the eternal and indubitable truth of the doctrine therein contained, and of that most divine excellency, sublimity, and majesty which appears therein; and because of the operation of the Holy Spirit, who causes us to receive with reverence the testimony of the Church in that point, who opens our eyes to discover the beams of that celestial light which shines in the Scripture, and correct our taste to discern the divine savor of that spiritual food.
V. That God made all things of nothing by his own free will, and by the infinite power of the Word.

VI. That he governs and rules all by his providence, ordaining and appointing whatsoever happens in this world, without being the author or cause of any evil committed by the creatures, so that the guilt thereof neither can nor ought to be in any way imputed unto him.

VII. That the angels were all in the beginning created pure and holy, but that some of them have fallen into irreparable corruption and perdition; and that the rest have persevered in their first purity by an effect of divine goodness, which has upheld and confirmed them.

VIII. That man, who was created pure and holy, after the image of God, deprived himself through his own fault of that happy condition by giving credit to the deceitful words of the devil.

IX. That man by his transgression lost that righteousness and holiness which he had received, and thus incurring the wrath of God, became subject to death and bondage, under the dominion of him who has the power of death, that is, the devil; insomuch that our free will has become a servant and a slave to sin: and thus all men, both Jews and Gentiles, are, are by nature children of wrath, being all dead in their trespasses and sins, and consequently incapable of the least good motion to any thing which concerns their salvation: yea, incapable of one good thought without God's grace, all their imaginations being wholly evil, and that continually.

X. That all the posterity of Adam is guilty in him of his disobedience, infected by his corruption, and fallen into the same calamity with him, even the very infants from their mother's womb, whence is derived the name of original sin.
XI. That God saves from this corruption and condemnation those whom he has chosen {from the foundation of the world, not for any foreseen disposition, faith, or holiness in them, but} of his mercy in Jesus Christ his Son; passing by all the rest, according to the irreprehensible reason of his freedom and justice.

XII. That Jesus Christ having been ordained by the eternal decree of God to be the only Savior and only head of his body which is the Church, he redeemed it with his own blood in the fullness of time, and communicates unto the same all his benefits by means of the gospel.

XIII. That there are two natures in Jesus Christ, viz., divine and human, truly united in one and the same person, without confusion, division, separation, or alteration; each nature keeping its own distinct proprieties; and that Jesus Christ is both true God and true man.

XIV. That God so loved the world, that is to say, those whom he has chosen out of the world, that he gave his own Son to save us by his most perfect obedience (especially that obedience which he manifested in suffering the cursed death of the cross), and also by his victory over the devil, sin, and death.

XV. That Jesus Christ having made a full expiation for our sins by his most perfect sacrifice once offered on the cross, it neither can nor ought to be repeated upon any pretext whatsoever, as they pretend to do in the mass.

XVI. That the Lord Jesus having fully reconciled us unto God, through the blood of his cross, it is by virtue of his merits only, and not of our works, that we are absolved and justified in his sight.

XVII. That we are united to Jesus Christ and made partakers of his benefits by faith, which rests upon those promises of life which are made to us in his gospel.

XVIII. That this faith is the gracious and efficacious work of the Holy Spirit, who enlightens our souls, and persuades them to lean and rest upon the mercy of God, and so to apply the merits of Jesus Christ.

XIX. That Jesus Christ is our true and only Mediator, not only redeeming us, but also interceding for us, and that by virtue of his merits and intercession we have access unto the Father, to make our supplications unto him, with a holy confidence that he will grant our requests, it being needless to have recourse to any other intercessor besides himself.
XX. That as God promised us regeneration in Jesus Christ, so those who are united to him by a living faith ought to apply, and do really apply themselves, unto good works.

XXI. That good works are so necessary to the faithful that they can not attain the kingdom of heaven without the same, seeing that God has prepared them that we should walk therein; and there fore we ought to flee from vice, and apply ourselves to Christian virtues, making use of fasting, and all other means which may conduce to so holy a thing.

XXII. That, although our good works can not merit any thing, yet the Lord will reward or recompense them with eternal life, through the merciful continuation of his grace, and by virtue of the unchangeable constancy of his promises made unto us.

XXIII. That those who are already in the possession of eternal life in consequence of their faith and good works ought to be considered as saints and glorified persons, and to be praised for their virtue and imitated in all good actions of their life, but neither worshipped nor invoked, for God only is to be prayed unto, and that through Jesus Christ.
XXVIII. That God does not only instruct us by his Word, but has also ordained certain sacraments to be joined with it, as means to unite us to Jesus Christ, and to make us partakers of his benefits; and that there are only two of them belonging in common to all the members of the Church under the New Testament - to wit, Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

XXIX. That Christ has instituted the sacrament of Baptism to be a testimony of our adoption, and that therein we are cleansed from our sins by the blood of Jesus Christ, and renewed in holiness of life.

XXX. That he has instituted the Holy Supper, or Eucharist, for the nourishment of our souls, to the end that eating effectually the flesh of Christ, and drinking effectually his blood, by a true and living faith, and by the incomprehensible virtue of the Holy Spirit, and so uniting ourselves most closely and inseparably to Christ, we come to enjoy in him and by him the spiritual and eternal life.

Now to the end that every one may clearly see what our belief is as to this point, we here insert the very expressions of that prayer which we make use of before the Communion, as they are written in our Liturgy or form of celebrating the Holy Supper, and likewise in our public Catechism, which are to be seen at the end of our Psalms; these are the words of the prayer:
'Seeing our Lord has not only once offered his body and blood for the remission of our sins, but is willing also to communicate the same unto us as the food of eternal life, we humbly beseech thee to grant us this grace that in true sincerity of heart and with an ardent zeal we may receive from him so great a benefit; that is, that we may be made partakers of his body and blood, or rather of his whole self, by a sure and certain faith.'

The words of the Liturgy are these: 'Let us then believe first of all the promises which Christ (who is the infallible truth) has pronounced with his own mouth, viz., that he will make us truly partakers of his body and blood, that so we may possess him entirely, in such a manner that he may live in us and we in him.'
The words of our Catechism are the same, Nella Dominica 53.
XXXI. That it is necessary the Church should have pastor known by those who are employed for that purpose to be well instructed and of a good life, as well to preach the Word of God as to administer the sacraments, and wait upon the flock of Christ (according to the rules of a good and holy discipline), together with elders and deacons, after the manner of the primitive Church.

XXXII. That God has established kings and magistrates to govern the people, and that the people ought to be subject and obedient unto them, by virtue of that ordination, not only for fear, but also for conscience' sake, in all things that are conformable to the Word of God, who is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

XXXIII. Finally, that we ought to receive the symbol of the Apostles, the Lord's Prayer, and the Decalogue as fundamentals of our faith and our devotion.
Conclusion
And for a more ample declaration of our faith we do here reiterate the same protestation which we caused to be printed in 1603, that is to say, that we do agree in sound doctrine with all the Reformed Churches of France, Great Britain, the Low Countries, Germany, Switzerland, Bohemia, Poland, Hungary, and others, as it is set forth by them in their confessions; as also in the Confession of Augsburg, as it was explained by the author,[1] promising to persevere constantly therein with the help of God, both in life and death, and being ready to subscribe to that eternal truth of God with our own blood, even as our ancestors have done from the days of the Apostles, and especially in these latter ages.
Therefore we humbly entreat all the Evangelical and Protestant Churches, notwithstanding our poverty and lowness, to look upon us as true members of the mystical body of Christ, suffering for his name's sake, and to continue unto us the help of their prayers to God, and all other effects of their charity, as we have heretofore abundantly experienced, for which we return them our most humble thanks, entreating the Lord with all our heart to be their rewarder, and to pour upon them the most precious blessings of grace and glory, both in this life and in that which is to come. Amen.

XXIV. That God has chosen one Church in the world for the salvation of men, and that this Church has one only head and foundation, which is Jesus Christ.

XXV. That this Church is the company of the faithful, who, having been elected by God before the foundation of the world, and called with a holy calling, unite themselves to follow the Word of God, believing whatsoever he teaches them therein, and living in his fear.

XXVI. That this Church can not fail, nor be annihilated, but must endure forever {and that all the elect are upheld and preserved by the power of God in such sort that they all persevere in the faith unto the end, and remain united in the holy Church, as so many living members thereof}.

XXVII. That all men ought to join with that Church, and to continue in the communion thereof.

An ancient Confession of Faith of the Waldenses, Copied
out of certain Manuscripts, bearing date Anno Dom.
1120. That is to say, near 400 years before the
time of either Calvin or Luther.

We believe and firmly hold all that which is contained in the twelve Articles of the Symbol, which is
called the Apostles’ Creed, accounting for Heresie whatsoever is disagreeing, and not consonant to the
said 12 Articles.
Article 2.
We do believe that there is one God, Father, Son, & Holy Ghost.
Article 3.
We acknowledg for the holy Canonical Scriptures, the Books of the holy Bible. The Books of Moses
called Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1st Samuel, 2nd
of Samuel, 1st of Kings, 2nd of Kings, 1st Chronicles, 2nd Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job,
Psalms. The Proverbs of Solomon, Ecclesiastes, or the Preacher, The Song of Solomon, The Prophesies
of Isaiah, and Jeremiah. The Lamentations of Jeremiah. Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah,

Article 4.
The Books above-said teach this, That there is one God, Almighty, all wise, and all good, who has
made all things by his goodness, For he formed Adam in his own image and likeness, but that by the
envy of the Devil, and the disobedience of the said Adam, sin has entred into the World, and that we are
Sinners in Adam and by Adam.
Article 5.
That Christ was promised to our Fathers who received the Law, that so knowing by the Law their sin,
unrighteousness and insufficiency, they might desire the coming of Christ, to satisfie for their sins, and
accomplish the Law by himself.
Article 6.
That Christ was born in the time appointed by God the Father. That is to say, in the time when all
iniquity abounded, and not for the cause of good works, for all were Sinners; but that he might shew us
grace and mercy, as being faithfull.
Article 7.
That Christ is our life, truth, peace, and righteousness, as also our Pastour, Advocate, Sacrifice, and
Priest, who died for the salvation of all those that believe, and is risen for our justification.
Article 8.
In like manner, we firmly hold, that there is no other Mediatour and Advocate with God the Father,
save onely Jesus Christ. And as for the Virgin Mary, that she was holy, humble, and full of grace; and
in like manner do we believe concerning all the other Saints, that being in Heaven they wait for the
Resurrection of their Bodies at the Day of Judgment.
Article 9.
We believe that after this life, there are onely two places, the one for the saved, and the other for the
damned, the which two places we call Paradise and Hell, absolutely denying that Purgatory invented by
Antichrist and forged contrary to the truth.
Article 10.
We have always accounted as an unspeakable abomination before God, all those Inventions of men,
namely, the Feasts and the Vigils of Saints, the Water which they call holy. As likewise to abstain from
flesh upon certain Days, and the like; but especially their Masses.
Article 11.
We esteem for an abomination and as Anti-Christian, all those humane Inventions which are a trouble
or prejudice to the Liberty of the Spirit.
Article 12.
We do believe that the Sacraments are signs of the holy thing, or visible forms of the invisible grace,
accounting it good that the faithfull sometimes use the said signs or visible forms, if it may be done.
However, we believe and hold, that the above-said faithfull may be saved without receiving the signs
aforesaid, in case they have no place nor any means to use them.
Article 13.
We acknowledg no other Sacrament but Baptism and the Lords Supper.

We ought to honour the secular powers, by subjection, ready obedience, and paying of Tributes

a case for the Waldenses ancient origin

Ephesians 3:21 Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

1. Peter Waldo still preached the evangelical New Testament gospel over a century before Wycliff and Huss; not to mention over 3oo years before Luther!
The roman Catholic and mailine protestant argument always ignores the existence of the waldensees.
Catholics always start off there argument with claiming a 1500 year gap in church history. But in order to do this they lie! They deny the existence of not only the waldenses but multiple churches throughout he centuries. Even if the Waldensees were off the table. You still have the montanist, Donatist,Paulicans, lumbees and several similar sects. The fact is that these people not only existed but were murdered for their faith. I for one will not forget their sacrifice.



2.The Waldensian name is of Italian origin

“Cardinal Peter Damian, one of the able builders of the papal edifice,
in his campaign (A.D. 1059) against these primitive Christians in northern Italy, called
them Subalpini. The word in common parlance to designate these borderers of the Alps
was ‘Vallenses,’ from which in time the V was changed into W; one of the l’s into d,
and they have since the twelfth century generally been called Waldenses.”
To verify that all of this is correct, I would like to refer to the Junior Classic Latin
Dictionary, Latin-English and English-Latin, by Antonio J. Provost, head of the Modern
Language department, University of Notre Dame. Note: the abbreviations used from
this source are: f. = feminine gender; s. = substantive; fig. = figuratively; poet. =
poetically.
In the English-Latin section, p. 203 it says, “ valley, s. vallis, convallis, is f. ” Then
in the Latin-English section it says on p. 154, “ vallis, is f. valley, vale, fig. (poet.)
hallow.” In this same section, p. 27, under “ convallis ” it says: “ convallis is, f. deep
valley.” From these definitions in Latin, it is clear that the term “Waldenses ”
(“ Vallenses ”) meaning “ people of the valley ” has absolutely nothing to do with the
historical character by the name of Peter Waldo. It’s a Roman Catholic lie.
To demonstrate that the Junior Classic Latin Dictionary is correct, we will now go
to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language under “ valley ” which has
the usual English definition. This dictionary goes beyond others as it has an appendix of
Indo-European Roots. Before we go to the appendix, let’s read the origin of the word at
the end of the definition: “ [Middle English, valley from Norman French, from Vulgar
Latin vall.ta (unattested), from Latin vallis, valls. See wel-3 in Appendix] ”, and we will
drop in at #10: “ Perhaps variant wall- in Latin valls, vallis, valley (‘that which is
surrounded by hills ’ ): VAIL1, VALE1, VALLEY.” You will notice the “ variant wall- in Latin ”
suggests a “w” sound in place of the “ v ” sound, and may be the reason why
“ Vallenses ” had evolved into “ Waldenses ”.
Again we will go to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language
for a history of the letter “W” in our alphabet: “ The letter W is a descendant of the
letter V. Around 1000 B.C. the Phoenicians and other Semites of Syria and Palestine
began to use a graphic sign in the forms [not able to show here] . They gave it the name
w.w and used it for a semiconsonant w, as in English know, knows. After 900 B.C.,
when the Greeks borrowed the alphabet from the Phoenicians, they developed two
signs from w.w. The first sign, which they called upsilon, ‘ bare u,’ they used for the
vowel u. The Greek form without the tail passed via Etruscan to the Roman alphabet, in
which it was used for two sounds, semiconsonantal w and vocalic u, as in the writing of
VENIO and IVLIVS. In later Roman times the sound w became v. Before the Norman
Conquest of England the Anglo-Saxons used the Latin letter V, as in the Uncial form,
for the sounds u, v, and w. Later the habit developed to use V for u and v, but to write
V doubly for the sound w. Gradually the two separate letters were linked to form a new
character, as in the Cursive form. Our modern printed letters, capital and lower-case,
are formally constructed by analogy with the printed V, while the written forms revert to
the Cursive.”
With this comprehensive explanation, one can now see why the term
“ Vallenses ” developed into “Waldenses ” especially during the Middle Ages around
400 to 1200 A.D."

3. The 1120 A.D. confession of faith was uncovered by Samuel moreland in 1658. Moreland was commission by Oliver Cromwell to give aid to the Waldenses and to research their history. The Waldenses were massacred by the Roman Catholic church at that time. just three years earlier they printed there third confession of Faith. So they obviously gave permission. The document found was dated 1120.

Now one can claim that this document was forged by the Waldensees. However, the confession doesn't match the 2nd one. The first is more anabaptist and allows reading from the apocrypha. Yet the second does not. The third is entirely more reformed than anabaptist. Apparently the first is also written in Italian.

4. None of the Waldensees confessions, nor other writings from the ancient church ascribe Waldo to be the founder of the church. Yet this is odd among reformers. When we look at the way protestants honor Luther, Calvin, Wesley etc. It would seem odd that the Waldenses not give respect to their supposed church father.

“This theory sweeps away at a breath not only the apostolic but the Italian origin of the Waldensian church, making it no older than the year 1160, when Peter Waldo began his ministry in france.” Pg. 25

5. Waldenses were commonly accused to be the same as the albigenses as well as Paulicans. It is obvious that similarity points to the fact that these groups held the same faith. which is much more ancient than Peter Waldo.
Catholic apologists typicaly lump these groups together in the same heresies, but then deny that they were unified and providing an alternative church. The Waldenses confessions of faith show just what faith they are.
The Inquisition was used to destroy all these so-called "heretics" in order to keep an iron grip on their "holy Roman Empire". But if the Waldenses had an evangelical faith then perhaps these other groups did as well. After all why were medeival europeans really so concerned with preserving Iranian doctrine?

6. Waldenses of the past testified to their ancient origin.
Many site Waldensees of this century giviong up on there doctrine. However the waldensees church has grown apostate. it would be comparable to interviewing an anglican Bishop on his views and assuming the same was true in the late 1500's. The waldenses today sadly deny the Bible and salvation. They are only genetic relatives. Yet the Waldenses of that day indeed believed that their church streched back to the apostles.

7. voltaire reveals that there was historical revisionism among french catholics.

“‘Auricular confession was not received as late as the eighth and ninth centuries
in the countries beyond the Loire, in Languedoc and the Alps – Alcuin complains of this
in his letters. The inhabitants of those countries appear to have always had an
inclination to abide by the customs of the primitive church, and to reject the tenets and
customs which the church in its more flourishing state judged convenient to adopt.
“‘Those who were called Manichaeans, and those who were afterward named

1. We believe and firmly maintain all that is contained in the twelve articles of the symbol, commonly called the apostles' creed, and we regard as heretical whatever is inconsistent with the said twelve articles.

3. We acknowledge for sacred canonical scriptures the books of the Holy Bible. (Here follows the title of each, exactly conformable to our received canon, but which it is deemed, on that account, quite unnecessary to particularize.)

But through the enmity of the Devil, and his own disobedience, Adam fell, sin entered into the world, and we became transgressors in and by Adam.

5. That Christ had been promised to the fathers who received the law, to the end that, knowing their sin by the law, and their unrighteousness and insufficiency, they might desire the coming of Christ to make satisfaction for their sins, and to accomplish the law by Himself.

Roman Catholics have constantly argued that the ideas of protestantism were never heard of in church history. This is an outright lie. There have been generations of believers free from the papacy who held allegiance to the scriptures and believed doctrines like justifcation by grace through faith alone in every century. As you read this document ask yourselves. Does this document sound protestant. Catholics claim that this group was heretical in that they believe in two Gods. Is that what this confession states? Should the roman church be trusted because they slaughtered all their competition in the inquisition?

By the way, admitting that confessions are indeed human documents with imperfection. this confession does a fine job of conveying the infallible truths of the gospel and I subscribe to it.

recommended reading

I have thought about this for a while.
Essentially in my theological journey I have always been a loner. Thought not necessarily by choice. Even in ministry I had not one particular mentor but several. And while I appreciate the lives of these ministers I assumed I would get a little more attention. I think now looking back they indeed had appropriate relationships in the fact that that they did not constrain my to their ideas and philosophy, but instead encouraged me to grow as an individual to get my instructions directly from God.
In the same way as a theologian I was a loner. I started out in a Christian liberal arts college.(this is where I felt the call from God to become a minsiter) While there I took my first OT and NT survey courses. I would also take my first missionary trip to Northern Ireland. It dawned on me that I would have many different groups and religions who would want me to preach there version of the gospel. I knew that if I was going to minister to people and tell people about this Jesus who saved my soul, then I needed to know His Word. Growing up I had read select verses, the book of Matthew, Job and Ecclesiastes. The rest I knew from listening to Sermons. While on my missionary trip, I notticed the devotion of my fellow missionaries and realized that I need to fully understand the scriptures to keep myself from bias. And so I read non-stop for about 5 months and completed the Bible the day before my first day of Bible COllege.
Obviously, I would go on to leave this christian college for Bible college where I got my bacheloreate.
I was trained in theology from a new eveangelical reformed calvinistic baptist perspective. I was thank for a lot fo my training specifically regard the fundamental foundational teachings of the faith. However, as time grew on I knew that I could not fit into their camp. I wished I could just for sake of relieving social preassure yet as I read the scriptures I found that there were some key scriptures that Calvinist would ignore and I could not ignore my Savior's words.
While training at this college I realized that I needed to be free from bias so I would study other denomenations. Some I paid more attention to. Yet I was constatly in search of different perspectives. Not only did I study, but I took the time to vist about 17 different denominations of churches. I also collected over 30 translations of the Bible.
After bible college I became a youth minister. I also study at theologically moderate southern baptist institution for my masters degree. While there an ironic thing happened. Instead, as some would think, of growing more liberal with the liberal teaching I was getting, I grew much more conservative.
I was committed to a sovereign God who had inspired an infallible Bible. Therefore I was able to investigate what made my colleagues reject the word of God. Soon I found the new evangelical compromises that have been plaguing our churches and was able to focus on scripture to illuminate a truly New Testament Faith.

Now in terms of fitting into a camp and recommended reading.
I have found authors and books which had a great deal to offer me. These are not an exhaustive list. I am writing what simply comes to mind.
I do not see these writers as instructing me on anything. The Bible is my soul authority and God deserves all the glory. Instead these writers are brothers who have shared there labors and with whom I find comradery.
They seem to have a grasp on the same spirit which made me born-again. When they read the scriptures it reminds me of when I read the scriptures. If these men fail, I forgive them. I am never betrayed by them since I never place my faith in them. I only have faith in God. So without further adew,

Henry Morris) I believe that when we are in Heaven, Dr. Morris will be vindicated as the most valiant defender of the faith among the more popular apologist in the 20th century. Unlike C.S. Lewis He did not restrict himself by arguing for "mere Christianity". Instead Morris defended Biblical Christianity letter for letter! It was Morris who first helped us to understand that evolution was both unscientific and unbiblical. Giving scientific evidence for the flood and defend the Bible in literally every academic arena, Morris laid down the guantlet for today's less than worthy apologist.

Keith Green) Though a musician, Keith Green had a spark that flipped today's worldly evangelicals on their heads! Not only was music biblical and inspiring. But as you read Keith's Biography "no compromise" you find someone who is both down to earth and yet has their eys toward heaven. You will rarely if ever read of someone with such living faith.

Richard Baxter) While I am not sure of all of Baxters theological conclusions(I do not know of his views on baptist and the church). Baxter si one of the great devotional nonconformist/puritans of his generation. A pastor who had converted his entire town with only two exeptions! a must read "The Saints' everlasting Rest"

Dave Reagan) Dave Reagan is one of the most practical prophecy speakers I know of. He makes the study of Bible prophecy simple and sound. IF you are new to studying the end-times he is the man to go. Although I must warn about two teachings which I do not endorse. First Reagan believes in apostasy while teach "eternal security". Secondy Reagan belives in a temporary Hell. That there is a spiritual prison until the final judgement and the lost while only be annihilate in the lake of Fire not burning forever. this is an understandable but false teaching. Yet other than this Reagan is a very effective minister for the gospel of Christ.

Dave Hunt) Hunt is one of the leading thinkers in the evangelical community when it comes to understanding cults as well as the occult. IF you think that your church maybe getting wtered down by the world. Read Hunt and He will unveal exactly what is going on.

Alberto Rivera) If Hunt were a hammer then Rivera is a Jack Hammer! Reading the Alberto Rivera series literally tipped my world upside down. I kept thinking this is to extreme! Yet fact after fact was confirmed by historical research. If people think the "davinci code" was thrilling, then i have one thing to say. "truth is stranger than fiction"!! The series has to be factual for one simple reason. It is so fantastic a story that there should have already been a movie made about it. only NWO forces would be responsible for not bringing this out to the public.

John R. Rice)In my studies a lot of my theology is summed up by combining landmark and disensation theology to New Testament interpretation. Rice was already ahead of me. I never got the priveledge of meeting Rice. But if he is anything like his writings it must have been something to see.



W.A. Criswell)Criswell is a decent scholar and preacher. I found him to be valuabel early in my education. Unfortunately he does have a few flaws. He was pro-chice and a member of the free-masons. But if you can get past these issues He is a good resource.

Liberty and traditional marriage

It has come to my attention that some liberty minded thinkers have assumed to the idea of traditional marriage and/or the idea of constitutional traditional marriage amendment to be discriminatory against gays. While this idea is definitely antagonistic to gay activist; the reality is that amendment is not meant have the government step in against homosexual groups but instead make the government recognize the primitive and original building block of society, the family. So I would like the time to make that case.



A. An imposition of religion?
Some argue that this is a religious values being imposed upon people through the government. However, this is not strictly speaking, a religious debate. It is a debate over family ethics and morality and what role the government plays. While religion takes sides on this issue, it is not simply the idea birthed from one particular religious establishment. Protestants, Catholics, Jews, muslims, hindus, and even Buddhists have in the past denounced homosexuality and supported traditional marriage So it is not based on a particular world view. The issue barely involves a religious establishment. But it does have to do with how the government behaves itself around such matters.

B. the main opposition of the homosexual movement regards a presupposed bias in the tax code.
First of all the reason for this supposed bias is that traditional married couples are more likely to raise children.
Secondly this is an issue that can be easily resolved through limited government. The most pro-traditional marriage candidate Mike Huckabee argued for a fair Tax which would eliminate all bias in the tax code by doing away with the income tax system. Replacing this system with a sales tax. Other systems doing away with the IRS would accomplish the same goal.



C.Arguments about insurance and hospitals is mainly privatized.
Discrimination in insurance is strictly and economic matter. It has been repeatedly statistically proven that the gay lifestyle leads to more health risk, less sanity, and more violent relational situations. This will lead to insurance companies stamping a higher price for the lifestyle.
No major social conservative I know has argued that gays should not have hospital visitation rights. This is strictly a problem with the hospitals themselves.
However these are independent businesses and the private sector should be allotted such freedom whether right or wrong.



D. The homosexual movement has been a source of socialism in this fight.
The homo-sexual movement has been consistently tied to socialist strategies. Besides the obvious notice of the gay influence on democrats; Pro-gay legislation has been put in unconstitutional mean of judicial activism. Whenever put to a vote among the people traditional marriage has won even among the more liberal states.

E. The idea of an Amendment is defensive, not offensive.
The traditional marriage position has been one of defense and not offense. There are no new laws and legislation by traditional marriage advocates besides preserving the definition of marriage.
It is the homosexual lobbyists who demand extra protections, even though many homosexuals are financially well off in upper-class segments of society.
Traditional marriage advocates would like Homosexuality to not be inculcated in public schools and they would like an environment where their underage children are proselytized into a perverse lifestyle which leaves their families barren. Yet the government has stepped in and has already been introducing several methods of teaching our children fornication so that this battle would be easier.
Just so long as we have to pay for these social experiments on our children with our tax dollars.

F. There is no major enforcement of this amendment.

Gay rights groups argue this to be like “prohibition”. They see it as a misuse of the constitution to restrict freedoms that will be impossible to enforce upon gays.
This argument is utterly preposterous. Because it does not restrict they gays from moving together or calling themselves married. It only restricts the government from recognizing it. There is hardly any tax dollar price to use in enforcement.
Also homo-sexuals may not be aware that marriage is asking to give up liberties. First it is saying that the government encourages homosexuals to practices homosexuality all their life with a moral imperative to stay that way at the risk of health(in sickness and in health(even with STD). The government also then gets the right to divide up the gays property upon divorce. (we see this already Massachusetts and California) So this takes gay rights away.




G. the gay concept of Marriage is ludicrous
Gays are not truly asking for basic rights, but to destroy the governments understanding of marriage and family.
If we are discriminating against homosexuals in recognizing marriage as between a man and a woman; then we are obvious discriminating against other perverts.
Polygamists are a major minority group that will have the right to redefine next. Then we have beastility and child molestors and incest couples. There is already a group (N.A.M.B.L.A. North American Man-boy love association) advocating in Canada for rights to have sex with minors.There was already a film festival award for a movie “ZOO” advocating beastility between a man and a horse. You can not say you are not discriminating against these groups while supporting homosexuality.

H. This will lead to a breakdown of sexual ethics within our legal code
The end result of all this is an elimination of all sexual law. Once all these restrictions are annihilated, there will be rape and gang bangs and eventually all forms of violent crime will be accepted. Human sexuality must have controls. If there is no control then we will end in anarchy.
I. The God Factor
This argument may at first seem contradictory to the first argument brought up. However this is a point of probability. Just as many environment laws have been formed because of probable threat (even though global warming has been shown a haux).
The fact is we must deal with probabilities. The majority of the world and especially the united states acknowledges the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible is oppose to the practices and will curse a people who blatant accept it. Even when California judges accepted gay marriage the state went up in flames with Forrest fires.(don’t miss the irony that the derogative british term “faggot” originally meant firewood)If God is real and America promotes the homosexual lifestyle then it would be like that the country will be cursed.

Considering these factors support for traditional marriage is not a government attack upon gays, instead it is a defense of traditional American Values, which reiterates our stability and liberties.

It has been a busy year in 2009.
I do apologize for not writing more often.
I am working on a essay for this blog.
"darwinian naturalism as a religion"
People typically view Darwian theory as simply scientific theory.
Yet many scholars are aware that naturalism is a fully fledged worldview.
It is little known that Charles Darwin was not trained in science but instead a trained theologian from the anglican tradition.
I will use this future essay to jude Darwin's views from a theological perspective.

I have been caught up in many projects however.
I have been focusing on writing some books.
My first book "What would jesus say to Evangelicals?" Is currently available as an e-book. Hope fully soon it will be available in paperback.

1. "The Science of Salvation" is a book critiqing all the major christian denominations including catholicism and judaism. It is essentially a compilation of my many articles on this blog. This is not simply an analysis of various religions. It is instead a gauntlet for all Christians to stare inot the double-edge sword of scripture and see whether or not they are being the sheep of Christ or wandering off the pasture.

2. "A New Look at an Old Word" is a book argueing for what I call a "King James mainly" view of scriptures concerning the Bible version debate. I make an argument for the traditional text of the Massoretic text and the textus Receptus being recognized as the perfect canonical text of the word of God. I also make a case for the KJV being the most pragmatic and dominant text for Christian use is we truly desire any interdenominational dialogue. This is a college age book that will present evidence normal censored in the ivory tower bubble. Every preacher should have the oportunity to read it.

3."The Reign of grace: a concise commentary on Paul's epistle to the Romans" This commentary sees Paul's epistle essentially as a constitution of the new reign or age of Grace. As the last apostle "PAul" has recieved revelation concerning the gospel to the gentiles. He is now taking the time in this letter establish the justification of God bring this new and incredible salvation and how it applies to our lives. this will be a must read for Christians who want to ta into God's grace in a way that leaps from black and white doctrine into a new innovative spirit filled life.

Also earlier this year I have stepdown as the pastor of Freedom Baptist Church. It was a very difficult decision. However, the ministry that I was doing was not well supported and the strain of time and money had taken it's toll not just on me but one my wife as well. I am thankful that we had accomplished some things with the church we were able to evangelize many and give sacrificially to many causes.
Since then I have joined a local independant baptist church "Grace Tabernacle".
I have found a place filled with healing and ministry. Since I have steped down from the role of Pastor it would probably be better to refer to me as brother Matt. As an ordained minister I still may be called "reverend" though many people find the title offensive so I'll just stick with the title "bro."
"Grace" is an exciting church that is really active in making a difference and spreading the gospel. The head pastor there is Mark Jackson. Is Allah the Same as Jehovah?

As a fundamentalist Baptist or New Testament Christian, I understand Jehovah to be the divine name of the God of the Old and New Testament. Many Muslims may read this site and assume there to be one religion of Christianity, like several have assumed one religion of Islam. However, there are many religions of Christianity and many religions of Islam. So the question is more general “Is Allah the same as Jehovah”. Do these religions describe the same God? Some religious people would like to think so. Yet there has to be some reason for the violent divide that has lasted well over a thousand years. I want to look at the making of Islam not just with Muhammad but with Ishmael and his Arabic descendents then we will consider the Old and New Testament and how they interact with the Koran. Finally we will consider the theological formulas of Allah and Jehovah.

Abraham comes from the background of the worship of the moon God “nannar” or “Sin”.
It was later that Abraham was called to move to the land of Canaan and served the on true living God Jehovah. The Question is: once Ishmael was abandoned, could his descendents return to paganism and worship of the moon?

The Idol of the Arabic people was the moon. The Myths would change but the Moon idol stayed the same. Many other groups would worship the sun. However for the Arabs the moon would be a natural choice since the heat of the desert would encourage them to be more active at night. What we should notice from the myth is that the Arabs believed that the crown and authority of God was symbolized by the crescent moon which we can see in the Muslim crescent moon today.

"The blood of the sacrificial animals brought by the pilgrims was offered to the deities in the Kaba and sometimes even human beings were sacrificed and offered to the God… Besides idol worship, they also worshipped the stars, the sun and the moon.” (Muhammad The Holy Prophet, HafizGhulam Sarwar (pakistan), p18-19,Muslim).
This must be remember that the Kaaba was most definitely an abominable pagan temple where animals and even people were slaughtered in demonic worship.
Hubal was the most worshipped of the idols in mecca and he would wear the crescent moon. Yet eventually Allah would come to the forefront.

“The more significance of the cult declined, the greater became the value of a genral religious temper associated with Allah. Among the Meccans he was already coming to take the place of the old moon-god Hubal as the Lord of the Ka’bah… Allah was actually the guardian of contracts, though at first these were still settled at a special ritual locality and so subordinate to the supervision of an idol. Here we see a passing of the torch from the god hubal to the god allah.
“The god Il or llah was originally a phase of the moon god, but early in Arabian history the name became a general term for god, and it was this name that the Hebrews used prominently in their personal names such as Emmanuel, Israel, etc., rather than the Bapal of the Northern of the northern Semites proper which was the Sun. Similarly under Muhammad’s tutelage, the relatively anonymous llah became Al-llah, The God, or Allah, the Supreme Being.”(Southern Arabia, Carleton S. Coon, Washington D.C. Smithsonian, 1944, p.399)
Here we see there is some linguistic compatibility with the name Allah and the title of “moon god”.
Now we should keep in mind that the idol of the moon was a symbol of sovereignty. Hubal would be replaced by Allah well before Muhammad came to power. Why did this exchange take place? Because the names of the gods are based upon language and more importantly culture. Once the god “Allah” was worshipped it was a sign of Muhammad’s tribal superiority and national sovereignty.

Allah had threedaughters; Al Uzzah(venus) most revered of all and pleased with humansacrifice; Manah, the goddes of destiny, and Al Lat, the goddess of vegatable life. The Bible does forbid such acts.
Deu 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole
Deu 17:2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
Deu 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
Deu 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
Deu 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

The chosen people)
The Jewish people are a culture of people based upon faith.

Gen 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
The very initiation of the Jewish Race was Abraham’s faith that God would bless him with a chosen seed. That seed would spring forth through Isaac and oddly through Jacob.
Hab 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
The Jewish people were never a great people by natural means. They never became a vast empire. Israel at its peak under Solomon would soon split. They have been more oppressed than any other tribe and yet they have miraculously out lasted every empire. The only way to understand an orthodox Jew is by faith.

The Arabic people are a culture of slavery without faith.
Ishmael was outgrowth of Abraham’s adultery because he did not have faith in the promise of Jehovah. Isaac was the result Abraham’s faithfulness to his wife and faithfulness to God’s Covenant. Hagar was by profession Abraham’s slave. Sarah was his wife. These characteristics would be inherited among the children
Gal 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

In many ways this bring us to the natural disdain between the Jews and Muslims. The Muslims are the offspring of infidelity and their only inheritance can be that which belongs to the Jews. The Arabs will always hate the Jews because the Jews are evidence of Arabic illegitimacy.
Gen 16:6 But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thine hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.
Gen 16:7 And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.
Gen 16:8 And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.
Gen 16:9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.
Gen 16:10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
Here the Arabs are a curse for the Jews. Because do to the Jews infidelity the Muslims have captured the land promised to Abraham. While the Jews attained the Birthright, it is the Muslims, which have taken the Residence. It is still so to this day. The Arabs have grown to a powerful league of nations and the national religion is the among the largest in the world.

Gen 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
Gen 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
The Arabic people have followed into Ishmael’s path. They were a core part of several of the ancient empires. Upon the Inception of Islam they quickly rivaled and nearly overcame the Roman Empire. It appeared that they would have the taken the Old Greek Empire of Alexander. Yet it was the curse of Ishmael, which humbled them. The Empire would quickly fall apart into royal power squabbles. Then later, Ghengis Khan slaughter them as they done the same to their enemies. In today’s time, we see that the Al Queda Jihad threats has killed vastly more Muslims than anyone else.

Gen 16:13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?
Gen 16:14 Wherefore the well was called Beerlahairoi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
Gen 16:15 And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son's name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.
Gen 16:16 And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram.
While the Lord indeed has heard Ishmael, He never gave Him the inheritance as he wanted.
Rom 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

The Jews would be a free-people who God liberated from Egypt

Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Yet Ishmael only knows the lifestyle of slave and master. The people of slavery think the only escape from slavery is to conquer others. Yet if this is the only option then mastery is a form of slavery.
Jam 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
Jam 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Jam 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Jam 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Muslims may argue that they are separate from the world. But how can this be if they desire to conquer it? This is why Muslims can not truly escape evil.

Character)
Allah has thoroughly rejected the title “Father”. He doesn’t desire to relate to man apparently. I believe this is do to the relationship between Ishmael and Abraham. As a Unitarian deity Allah is a lonesome deity.

Pagan origins) Many know of the story of Muhammad and how he was an orphan who grew up in a rich Arabic family. His family was traditionally pagan and they would worship at a pagan temple in Mecca known as the Kaaba. Muhammad was influenced by Christians mostly of a catholic background. Muhammad after his marriage to kadesha would have dreams and visions. These visions inspired Muhammad to clear out the Kaaba of all idols.
Yet Muhammad would refer to God with the name Allah. Allah was the name of his Family idol. It was a moon God. Today all Arabs and Muslims return to Mecca to worship Allah, the same way they would come to the Kaaba. So the pilgrimage directly descends from the Arabic pagan past. We must not forget that even in the Koran Muhammad has a brief relapse into polytheism.
“Now tell me about Al-lat, Aluzza and Manat, The third one, another goddess. What! For you the males and for him the females! That indeed is an unfair division.” Sura an-Najm (star) 53:19-22
These are famously known as the Satanic verses. Muhammad’s famous biography (The Life of Muhammad) has an interesting excuse.

“Then God sent down ‘By the star when it sets your comrade errs not and is not decieved, he speaks not from his own desire,’ and when he reached His words ‘Have you thought of al-lat and al-‘Uzza and Manat the third, the other, Satan, when he was meditating upon it, and desiring to bring it. (sc. Reconciliation) to his people, put upon his tongue ‘these are the exalted Gharaniq whose intercession is approved.’ When Quraysh heard that, they were delighted and greatly pleased at the way in which he spoke of their gods and they listened to him; while the believers were holding that what their prophet brought them from their Lord was true, not suspecting a mistake or a vain desire or a slip, and when he reached the prostration and the end of the Sura in which he prostrated himself the Muslims prostrated themselves when their prophet prostrated confirming what he brought and obeying his command, and the polytheist of Qurash and others who were in the mosque prostrated when they heard the mention of their gods, so that everyone in the mosque believer and unbeliever prostrated…
“Then Gabriel came to the apostle and said “What have you done Muhammad? You have read these people something I did not bring you from God and you have said what he did not say to you. The apostle was bitterly grieved and was greatly in fear of God. So God sent down (a revelation), for He was merciful to him, comforting him and making light of the affair and telling him that every prophet and apostle before him desired as he desired and wanted what he wanted and Satan interjected something into his desires as he had on his tongue.”
The Life of Muhammad pg.165-166

Alberto Rivera’s story) Alberto Rivera is certainly a controversial figure. Alberto was a bishop in the Jesuit school of Catholicism. He had partaken in many years of espionage for the Vatican as well as research the Vatican library for several years. In the adult comic book “The Prophet” published by Jack Chick, Alberto makes the claim that Roman Catholicism was instrumental in the set up and design of the Islamic religion helping to prop up the prophet Muhammad. This was their rational.
a. To gain influence over the vastly populated pagan Bedouins
b. To set up a militant army without direct links to Catholicism in order to destroy its enemies
c. To take out eastern orthodox rivals
d. To take out Donatist (north African Christian) rivals
e. To conquer Jerusalem
Yet admittedly the RCC lost control of these armies who the sought out conquering the Holy Roman Empire. At which point the Pope wage the crusades against the Muslims.
Now this author has accepted Alberto’s controversial testimony since his accounts have always been able to line up with my knowledge of history and church history. However, this report is slightly different since it is based upon his research and not personal testimony. I think that the Vatican could have magnified it’s role in the records from there admittedly secret perspective. Not to be confused with the churches official position; of having nothing to do with it.
Muhammad was a patriotic Arab, I think He wanted to set up an Empire which would eventually conquer Rome. Rome probably had planned to prop up this religion and they probably financed the Muslims which explains their rapid ascent to power. However, they did not have the influence, which they desired over Muhammad.
I believe Catholicism did influence the start of Islam for the following reasons.
A. Most “Christians” Muhammad was exposed to were in fact catholic.
B. The idea of Kadesha as a nun prior to meeting Muhammad is not outlandish since there is mystery concerning her early life and why an older woman would marry a young man and push him as a prophet.
C. Why would Kadesha’s cousin Waraqah who was a literate Christian and most likely Catholic not want muhammad to be first Baptized before he was anointed a prophet? Or at least being baptized a Christian at all? If the church did not want another religion started then why would these Catholics be so supportive of a virtually pagan prophet?
Intro. C32 “ …She went and consulted her cousin Waraqah, a devout worshipper of Allah in the faith of Christ, Learned in spiritual lore. He listened and with her rejoiced that he Muhammad was Allah’s Chosen one to renew the faith.”
D. The Koran does have an awkward over-emphasis of Mary. This is odd especially since they deny the sonship, deity, crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ.
E. While Medieval Catholicism and Islam were socially and theologically different they are politically identical. They are empire religions, which take from Old pagan traditions of their culture and push an exclusive monotheism and theocracy.
F. Islam did accomplish a strong military in rapid speed.
G. Islam focused on Catholicisms enemies and defeated exactly who was threatening them at the time.
It is said by Alberto that the Vatican and the Ayatollah’s have enough evidence on each other to destroy both faiths. So the two have sought a general peace.

Prophecy)
The Ishmaelites were not faithful to the God of the Bible, but instead worshipped pagan deities. Such as the moon god Allah. The Arabs were a pagan people and Muhammad was a pagan Arab who was never baptized. Before one can be accepted as a prophet, Muhammad should be capable of showing that he has authority to be a prophet. The Torah has very clear directions on how to recognize a prophet.
Deu 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
Deu 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
Deu 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

Here it is obvious that a prophet must recognize the true God Jehovah, regardless of whether or not they perform miracles. (LORD is another word used in place of Jehovah) If Allah is not truly equivalent to Jehovah then Muhammad must be a false teacher.
Deu 18:9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deu 18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Deu 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
Deu 18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
Another feature of the Old Testament is that they are to be unique and holy in opposition to the practices of the surrounding pagan nations. This could be a disqualifying factor since the Arabs had practiced paganism.

Deu 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Deu 18:16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
Deu 18:17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
Deu 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
Deu 18:21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
Deu 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
The Koran makes the claim that Muhammad is the Prophet of Bible Prophesy. However though Ishmailites are distant relatives they are not the Jews brethren. They are of Abraham, but not Abraham,Isaac and Jacob.

Not only this but the NT has several directions on how to recognize prophecy.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
1Ti 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jo 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
If Christ really were a prophet, it would be obvious that His Word would be true and the prophets after him would be Christian.
Muhammad however claims a pagan background and there is no record of His Baptism. Jesus was both baptized and circumcised; He followed the Law of the Old Testament make it appropriate to initiate the new Covenant.
Muhammad appropriate contact with Christians, since he was not a Jew or a Christian it is obvious that he was not qualified to be a prophet. Also the question remains as to what prophecies did he fulfill?
Relations)
Ishmael was abandoned by His Father Abraham. In like manner muslims have a distant relationship to Allah. Because Allah has no children
Surah 6:101 “To Him is due The primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when he have no consort? He created all things, and he hath full knowledge of all things.”
Surah 9:30 “The Jews call ‘Uzayr[ezra] a son of God, and the Christians Call Christ the Son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate What they unbelievers of old use to say. Allah’s curse be on them; how they are deluded from the Truth!”

Sin and Forgiveness

In the Old Testament it was essential to have a sacrificial system.
Sin started in the very beginning and sin has always had the price of death.
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The only way for the penalty of sin to be paid is with the shedding of blood.
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
We know that all have sinned because of death.
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Psa 14:2 The LORD[jehovah] looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
Psa 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Exo 3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
While it is true that Jehovah and Allah are both one in essences. Jehovah however is three persons instead of one.

Christ and why this effects how we know God)
Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psa 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Psa 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The Holy Bible is clear that the way of knowing the Father is by knowing the Son.
Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Where did the Holy Ghost Go?
The Muslims teach that Muhammad was the fulfillment of the Bible prophecy that has been traditional attributed to the Holy Spirit.
Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
If Muhammad fulfilled this prophecy it would be false. The Apostles never met Muhammad. Instead Muhammad did not come for 700 years the Christians would have been abandoned by God.
Joh 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Joh 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
Muhammad fails here as well, he did not have faith in Jesus because to him Jesus was another man.
Joh 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Joh 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
If Muhammad were the Spirit of Truth, then why are his followers allowed to break covenant with non-muslims? Once again how can Muhammad guide the apostles in “all Truth”?
Joh 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Joh 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Joh 16:16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
How has Muhammad glorified Christ? HE has stripped him of every title except for prophet. The only miracle left to him is only his birth. He has not glorified but humiliated.
This claim fails miserably after all Jesus elsewhere discusses the Holy Spirit.
Joh 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Joh 15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
First we see the word proceed from the Father, this means coming directly from God. Yet Allah has no children according to the Koran. So if Muhammad proceeded from the Father then it would contradict the Koran.

The Bible’s teaching concerning the Arabs
“When the Lad was grown up, he married a wife by birth an Egyptian, from whence the mother was herself derived originally. Of this wife were born to Ismael twelve sons: Nabaioth, Kedar, Abdeel, Mabsam, Idumas, Masmaos, Masaos, Chodad, Theman, Jetur, Naphesus, Cadmus. These inhabited all the country from the Euphrates to the Red Sea, and called it Nabatene. The twelve princes
1. Nebajoth)”heights” father of Nabateans, his sister married Esau who start the Edomites.
2. Kedar) “dark” father of northern Arabic bedouins. Nomadic tribes known for their black haired tents.
3. Adbeel) “chastened of God”
4. Mibsam) “sweet odour”
5. Mishma) “a hearing”
6. Dumah) “silence” A tribe living near Judah. Probably intermingled with Esauas descendents making the Edomites.
7. Massa) “burden” The land of this tribe would be the place where Israel tempted God, and Moses struck the rock..
8. Hadar) “honour”
9. Tema) “desert”
10. Jetur) “enclosed” warred with Israel east of Jordan. Tribe also known as Ituraea.
11. Naphish) “refreshment”
12. Kedemah) “original” an eastern tribe.

One may noticed that Arabic Region was named after Nabajoth (nabatene). This shows the different path of the Arabic family than the Jewish tribes. The Arabs were a very natural people. They lived a life that did not require faith.
Ishmael was not the only father of the Arabs, sense Esau’s descendents married into many tribes. Esau also brought a family reputation.
Heb 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Heb 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Abraham’s unfaithful descendants wanted a birthright which they unintentionally had already given away. Their envy of the jews would only sink them farther.
Psa 83:3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

Psa 83:11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
Psa 83:12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
Psa 83:13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
Psa 83:14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
Psa 83:15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
Psa 83:16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
Psa 83:17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
Psa 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
There is a curse upon the Arabic/Islamic people. They have conspired against the Jews and have been unfaithful to God. As long as they do not recognize Jehovah, they will always be a curse unto themselves. Why else has the Ismaelite been so gifted with money, ancestry and power and yet so pathetic at doing anything with it? The largest religion, the highest price commodities, the most militant tribes; yet the majority of Muslims across the world are considered third world. Why do the Christian nations not have people who want to immigrate to Muslim nations? Because Islam is curse and they do not know their father Jehovah. Muslim people are like the prodigal son.
Luk 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luk 15:11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
Luk 15:12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

Luk 15:18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
Luk 15:19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
Luk 15:20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Luk 15:21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Luk 15:22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Luk 15:23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Luk 15:24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
Luk 15:25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
Luk 15:26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
Luk 15:27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
Luk 15:28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
Luk 15:29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
Luk 15:30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
Luk 15:31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
Luk 15:32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
The children of Ishmael and followers of their idol Allah have spent their inheretance upon a dying world. They claim to be rich, and yet are quite poor. They know they have sinned against Jehovah. They know they have spilled rivers of blood from the Jews and Christians. They may think that God the father would know longer take them in. Yet the Lord Jehovah loves them and would gladly take them back. But Jehovah would not simply want the Muslims to come to Him as a slave. Jehovah desires to adopt the Muslims into his kingdom. To give them the inheritance that they strove for as a gift instead of a trophy. Many “Christians” have born ill-will towards Muslims. Yet it is these Christians who have been on the side of the Father and yet so caught up in their works that they never enjoyed the inheritance of salvation that was offered to them.
Those who are true children of the Lord long to be united with Arabs and Muslims in the Holy Family of Jehovah. If only they knew Jehovah’s desire to redeem them. If only they knew that Christ did not come to simply condemn the world.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

In the final analysis Muhammad was an idealistic but troubled man. Muhammad unlike the Biblical prophets was unsure as to whether the spirits, which visited him, were angelic or demonic. After doing the research for this book a highly doubt that Muhammad really ever read the New Testament. How else could any one be confident that Jesus was a prophet and at the same time deny his main prophesies concerning himself as the Son of God and the Resurrection? Muhammad was illiterate and his followers wrote his sacred book. In the end Muhammad was as fatherless as Ishmael worshipping a lesser light and never being capable of reaching that which is the true light.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
