Let's break this report down.... "ALMA has obtained its most detailed image yet showing the structure of the disc around HL Tau [2], a million-year-old Sun-like star located approximately 450 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Taurus." by assuming it to be a million years old then they don't think it was truly born sooner than the account of creation. So there goes their claim of star formation. But at only 450 light years measured, they can't claim any proof that is leaning towards an old earth. "The image exceeds all expectations and reveals a series of concentric and bright rings, separated by gaps." Now we are supposed to believe that the concentric shells makes the star important. But when the galaxies surround the earth and the milky way we are not supposed to be important! unsure emoticon "certainly the result of young planet-like bodies" so they are not seeing planets, they are seeing dust rings! "This is surprising since such young stars are not expected to have large planetary bodies" So basically once again stellar evolution is being contradicted even though they are presenting it as proof!! ""When we first saw this image we were astounded at the spectacular level of detail. HL Tauri is no more than a million years old, yet already its disc appears to be full of forming planets." Now people will ad hominem creationists as flat earth. But their problem is that they want to believe in ring planets! We don't call our asteroid belts planets. We assume the rings of saturn are falling apart. But a quick look will prove that planets must be forming. unsure emoticon " This video shows an artist’s impression of the evolution of the disc around a young star like HL Tauri. From the material in the disc — mostly gas and fine dust — planets begin to form and sweep up surrounding material to create dark patches and ring structures in this disc." 1st remember they admit that this isn't a straight image, it is an electronic painting. 2nd what they are claiming as planets is gas and dust!!! "Stars like HL Tau and our own Sun form within clouds of gas and dust that collapse under gravity." bologna!! the assumption that all stars form by breaking boyles gas law! This is not science! "Over time, the surrounding dust particles stick together, growing into sand, pebbles, and larger-size rocks, which eventually settle into a thin disc where asteroids, comets, and planets form. Once these planetary bodies acquire enough mass, they dramatically reshape the structure of the disc, fashioning rings and gaps as the planets sweep their orbits clear of debris and shepherd dust and gas into tighter and more confined zones." So then why not watch the rings of Saturn which we have observed a lot longer and see if they turn into planets? Dust turning into planets may be good for science fiction, but not for reality! hey maybe the pyramids evolved out of the sand dunes!! And maybe the Eiffel tower evolved out of a pyramid!! "In the visible, HL Tau is partly obscured by the massive cloud of dust and gas that surrounds it." So this image which doesn't show planets might not even be accurate anyway!! "The investigation of these protoplanetary discs is essential to our understanding of how Earth formed in the Solar System. Observing the first stages of planet formation around HL Tauri may show us how our own planetary system may have looked more than four billion years ago, when it formed." So they are FORCED to come to this conclusion otherwise evolution is wrong! So when you realize that this is already the case then all they have is more contradictions of stellar evolution and nothing else! (assuming the report is accurate wink emoticon )
