Pentecostal problems

Every so often I try to critique theologies and denominations. For the purpose of biblical discipline. I do recognize that Pentecostalism, as a movement has been very productive for the cause of Christ in terms of evangelism, charity and worship. However, I also believe that Satan made the focus of many on spirituality to become an obsession for sensationalism and as result the start of many heresies.

Being faithful to God
Like the Seventh-day Adventist Pentecostals have struggled with whether or not to remain orthodox. Unlike the Seventh-day Adventist I believe that the majority of Pentecostals still are. (At least enough to receive the saving gospel) However there are groups of ministers who are what we call “Jesus only”. They believe that God is one, only that he has several names. The scripture however teaches that God has three different persons.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
The name Elohim has a plural dimension to it. So the one God is shown here as a plurality unlike the modallist God.

Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Here we see God in the Heavens as the Father, God descending in the form of a dove as the Holy Spirit and God as the Son Jesus being baptized.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Here the three names of the trinity are invoked as responsible for the new covenant. Only God can forgive sin. Secondly, we see the word Kai(and) used twice to give a distinction between the persons of the trinity.

1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1Jo 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
1Jo 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
Though this scripture is often challenged as to it’s validity once shown to be scripture it is very obviously proving three witnesses who are three persons of the God head.

Therefore, there are three persons of the godhead as taught in the doctrine of the trinity.

Are there still prophets and apostles?
Act 1:21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
Act 1:22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
The office of the 12 Apostles must have ceased since no one after a century had seen Christ on a one on one basis. The angels promised Christ would only return the way he left. (Acts 1:11)

1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
Here we see Paul identify himself as the last of the Apostles.

2Pe 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Pe 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
When we see the use of past tense and “remembrance” in the apostles teaching seems like it is either past or about to be. Therefore there are no new Apostles in the canonical sense.

Please test the spirits!
1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
In the majority of the Charismatic movement there is a sense of acceptance of every spirit that comes down the pike. Many Charismatic are easily fooled into the idea that if one is spiritual speaks in tongues and claims to be an apostle then they must obviously be. (not true of all Pentecostals but many)
The scriptures remind us that the devil is in the business of sensationalism as well.
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Therefore, although we should be inviting to the Holy Spirit we should be prepared for the infiltration of demonic spirits.

So great Salvation

The blood that will never lose it’s power!
Many Pentecostals have been guilty of legalism. They have carried the Holiness idea of losing ones salvation simply by committing sin. But salvation is not something done by us but by Jesus(his name means “Jehovah Saves”).
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Many Pentecostals whom I have talked to have though of an incomplete forgiveness which must be sought upon every minor sin. But Jesus’ blood has the power to forgive all our sins in our lifetime. Therefore there is one sacrifice and we can be sure of our salvation.

Real healing
There are many Pentecostals who like Benny Hinn take the gift of healing to the extreme who say that healing is guaranteed as part of the atonement.
They use Isaiah 53 as their key text.
Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Now it is true that this passage has to do with the atonement. But when we read the phrase “we are healed”, what does that mean? Pentecostals interpret this to mean all people who are Christians are healed from all illnesses hear and now. Yet the passage doesn’t say when the healing happens. Another question to ask is what are we all supposed to be healed from? There are thousands of different types of sicknesses out there. Even if we say all sicknesses what about people who do not get sick. There is a small minority of people out there who never get sick their whole lives. The text doesn’t say a thing about this. Therefore I do not believe the universal healing is speaking towards miraculous healing revivals but instead it is speaking of salvation.
After all, Isaiah is speaking about Christ work on the cross. Secondly, universal healing does take place in the sense of the future resurrection. The scriptures testify to this.
1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
There are limitations on the gift of healing. Jesus didn’t heal every one at the pool of Bethesda. Just the blind man.
Joh 5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Joh 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
Joh 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
Even the Apostle Paul was not healed on earth of his thorn in the flesh.
2Co 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
2Co 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Someone healed must not be living in sin and the person healed must have faith. Even though this healing is still not necessarily for everyone.

Proper baptism
Most Pentecostals and charismatic argue that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an act that happens after salvation. This a hard doctrine theologically since it implies that there are Christians who are more spiritual than others as oppose to equality since we are all sinners saved by grace. However, the Bible places the baptism of the Holy Spirit along side salvation.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
If we have been baptized in the name of the trinity then it is implied that we have been Baptized in the name of the Holy Spirit. Which of course implies that we were baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
It is implied and accepted that Pentecost witnessed the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Therefore the “gift” of the Holy Spirit would be with Baptism which is promised alongside salvation and conversion.

Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
Act 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
We notice that the promise of the Holy Spirit is universal and the implication of the followers being saved placing the baptismal near salvation.

Act 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Act 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Here we notice that the speaking in tongues was a sign of the Holy Spirit. This was used as evidence of their salvation qualifying them for baptism.

1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Here again we see proof that Baptism of Holy Spirit is universal .

Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Eph 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Eph 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
If we have one spirit, then why would we need to be immersed in the Spirit after we have already been indwelled by the Spirit? And if everyone one has received gifts from the spirit wouldn’t it then mean everyone was first baptized in the spirit?

Mar 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
Mar 16:10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
Mar 16:11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
Mar 16:12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
Mar 16:13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
Mar 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Now many traditional Pentecostals hang their hat on this verse. They claim that the “full gospel” is with these signs accompanying them. So they will cast out demons and lay hands on the sick and speak with tongues.
Yet how many of them will carry snakes? Only a few microscopic sects out of millions across the globe do. Yet how many of them will drink poison? One? Two? So how many people are getting saved at all?
(of course with the terrible reputation modern drugs, maybe we are all taking in poison!)

Most Evangelicals deny this passage even existed, through the discovery of 2 Egyptian manuscripts translated by heretics. But, for those of us who know the truth, how do we interpret this passage?
Well, this is not the only passage with High ideals.
Act 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
Act 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
Act 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
We may see many people talk about having things in common, We may see people talking about having church every day. But how many people share all their possessions? How many really give up all their possessions? How many go to church all day?
So how many of the people who do not have possessions and drink poison and raise up snakes? Any? So how many of us are going to Heaven, if this is all part of the gospel?
Now at this point I have seen dozens, if not hundreds of Seminarians solve this mystery by simply saying that these passages were somehow hyperbolic and it all points to Christ so just praise the Lord and pass the Turkey. But as beautiful and sadly moronic these essays are, I believe there is something more going on.
By the way I have to start by saying that many of these ideas, I got from Bible teacher Les Feldick. So basically when we look even earlier at Prophecies concerning Christ we see prophecies about the first and second coming right together.
For instance:
Isa 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Isa 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Isa 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Isa 11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Now, here we can see some basic and miraculous predictions that as Christians we see to be fulfilled in the millennium. However, if a Jew reads this they are going to see the two prophecies as one. Catholics and mainline Protestants will condemn the Jewish reader for taking their passage literal and essentially condemn the Jew to Hell. You wouldn’t let a Muslim or Mormon say the same about you would you? So here is the answer to both.
1. The Kingdom was offered to the Jews.
Act 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
2. The time of the gospels was a time when the offer was quite valid

3. The gentiles were allowed to partake in the spiritual promises
Act 10:15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Act 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

4. By the end of the book of Acts the vast majority of Israel rejected the New Covenant.

5. The age of grace would be therefore a time of the spiritual fulfillment of the New Covenant.
Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

6. The millennial reign will be a time of both spiritual and physical fulfillment of the New Covenant.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Taming the tongue
Jam 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
In the last fifty years we have seen the spread of the charismatic movement. And with this spread of speaking tongues we have seen groups speaking in tongues in a more wilder and unorthodox way. Many people who visit Pentecostal groups may hear people speak in tongues yet they never see the interpretation of tongues.
We must remember that confusing tongues are demonic.
Gen 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
1Co 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Confusion is a product of sin. Yet it is the very mark of unorthodox tongue speaking.
Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
This was a curse on the Hebrews that Gentiles would have to be witnessing to them and yet it is a greater curse when unintelligible.
1Co 14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
One problem that manifest itself in the tongues debate from both sides is the doctrine of tongues in Acts being equivalent of the tongues in Corinthians.
First of all we need to demystify the term. A literal translation of tongues is “languages”
In the Book of Acts the languages are instantly given a label.
Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
In Acts we see a miracle of these spiritual tongues coming upon believers.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Here we see that now that the Christian have Holy Spirit they can speak in other
Languages, so long as the spirit allows
In the book of 1 Corinthians 13 we see another label
1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Here we see Paul speaking a spiritual language.

Let’s look at what Paul is saying later
1Co 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
This language of men and angels is describe as unknown and not specifically earthly.
2Co 12:4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
Hear we see the heavenly language cannot be uttered. Therefore the manifestation in the book of Acts known as the tongues of fire are a different manifestation of the spirit.

Act 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
Act 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Act 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Act 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Here Paul brings the disciples of John into the new stage of the Covenant into the age of grace. Therefore they prophesy and speak in tongues. Yet this is different from the apostles because the apostles spoke in worldly tongue in order to show all gentiles were allowed into the new covenant. These followers of John would be presumably Jewish. However they probably spoke in the language of men and angels indicating that they are part of a spiritual nation in the covenant of grace, for now they have the Holy Spirit.

Here many a Pentecostal will hang their hat with the conclusion that the gospel will be accompanied by the sign of speaking in tongues. Yet you do not have a command to speak in tongues and you also do not have a specific occasion.

Even though we ain’t got money!
There has been a sect of heretics to infiltrate Charismatic Christianity. It goes by the name “Word of faith” movement. This group is dangerous for the simple fact that they take the focus off of heaven and focus on worldly wealth.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
If money is the blessing of God which you are to seek after and have right after then shouldn’t you love and covet money?

Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Here is the key difference between the prosperity gospel and the New Testament Gospel. The prosperity gospel is one that promises earthly gifts in this generation. But the New Testament gospel is one which promises eternal treasures in the new heavens and new earth.
Rev 5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
Rev 5:3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
Rev 5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Mammon) a Chaldee or Syriac word meaning "wealth" or "riches" (Luke
16:9-11); also, by personification, the god of riches (Matt.
6:24; Luke 16:9-11).
Money becomes it’s own god. Acquiring worldly riches runs in contradiction with the gospel. If you have become massively wealthy, you will not be able to keep it when you know that there is so much need for charity and the great commission. Wealth has an addictive nature and you will have to become its servant.

Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Mat 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Mat 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Mat 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Mat 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Though it is good to pray to God for our needs; it is at the same time not the object of our affections. We know that God is our sovereign Lord and Father. He knows our needs better than us. Therefore our ability to prosper is not based on our ability to pray it through to us or anything that is in us.
It is instead primarily based on God’s sovereign will and secondly based on our following of his wisdom.
And so in the world of Penticostalism we a hunger for spirituality. But we must be careful that we do not drink from the wrong fountain and quench the Holy Spirit.
